Untangle The Labyrinth of Success!

“Make commitments & not resolutions!”, I used to say this to my people & they used to ignore this until when they learned that the power of commitments is not so feeble akin to those of resolutions. Success is not purely about your determination rather is more about pulling off things that you have had the nightmares of. You know what, over these years all that I have discovered is, winning is never a competition between you & your companion, it is between you & yourself; a fight that outlasts death. How better to perform has always been a mystery to me more or less it has been a difficult conundrum when I tried to figure out why things don’t go well even when I tried my best. My findings are so surreal that it says, your destiny isn’t the one who conspires against you, it’s your impotency that tampers your fortune. I know, the battle to win isn’t so easy. Situations may get worse & worse, every time you pour your efforts into it but the question is never about talent that you pursue, it’s about, “are you ready to stay?”, “are you ready to strive?” & “are you ready to sacrifice?” & I guess, answers to these questions will answer you back.

I know some people who have the same problem, they try their best but it gets worse and worse. That’s strange and unbelievable! But I’d like to understand something, you said Success is not purely about your determination rather is more about pulling off things that you have had the nightmares of. What does that mean?

Hello Novus Lectio, Thank you for swinging by Miraclewings. What I mean here is only deciding that I have to do this or that won’t help you out instead you must dwell on things that you’d wished to be lined up for you. I hope this helps. ☺

Ohk, let me try once again for you. Look, saying something & doing it are two different things. By the line, ‘…success is not purely…’, I intend to say that only deciding I will do this won’t bring you what you have dreamt of, for that you need to work hard, struggle alot & that too when situations may not be in your support. So we must not only determine rather work for it. ☺

  2. I found this very powerful. I loved this line,’..Success is not purely about your determination rather is more about pulling off things …’ I agree that one can be determined but things doesn’t appear. And pulling things off is a combination of determination, will power, effort, persistance, repetition and not giving up and patience. But sometimes on the road of achieving something, you realise that the end goal isn’t even a success it is a milestone because life is a journey and not a destination, therefore i believe, success is the same. Infact i believe success is being simple and content…

  4. This is very appropriate as I’m about to undertake my first session of 6 with a PT instructor. Something I’ve been putting off but spurred on to do by a single comment.

  5. The statement that our competition is with ourselves is so true. When we really study our lives, we can see just how much power we ultimately have to change our lives.
